Cambridge Primary starts the learners on an exciting educational journey, setting out what they should be able to do at each stage of their primary education.
Likewise, it is an excellent preparation for Cambridge Lower Secondary, and for progression to other educational systems. As a whole, the programme provides a broad and balanced education for the learners, hones them holistically and helps them to thrive throughout their schooling.
The programme is typically for learners aged 5 to 11 years and develops skills in ten subjects including English, Mathematics, and Science which will give plenty of opportunities to develop creativity, expression, and wellbeing in a variety of ways. The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is also included in the ten subjects as it is now a part of the educational experience worldwide and regarded as a new ‘literacy’ alongside reading, writing and numeracy. Along with these subjects is the Guided Reading that engages the students in every facet of the reading process and applies that literacy power to all instructional contexts. To give balance, the subjects Music, Arts and Physical Education are offered and are separately taught to give learners a platform to express themselves, spark imagination and creativity and develop transferable skills.
