Early years Foundation stage (KG)

The Early Childhood Education is a crucial stage in a child's educational life. The foundations of formal learning are laid in kindergarten and primary school. These years set the tone for developing the knowledge, attitudes and skill necessary for children to become healthy, competent and confident learners. This is the time when a child develops his cognitive, social, physical and emotional abilities. BIPS recognises the importance of preserving the innate curiosity of childhood throughout their primary school life. A child develops more rapidly in the initial years of life than at any other time and deserves most sensitive and thoughtful treatment from us. Our EYFS curriculum is divided into six areas of learning.

4 Knowledge and Understanding of the world
5 Creative Development
6 Physical Development

The Primary School

The Primary grade is always filled with exciting activities and events. These are the foundation years, where we help to instill the right values and a strong sense of responsibility and ethics in all our students. Students learn meaningful lessons through events such as healthy food week, world environment day, mother's day, father's day, etc. Neat and careful work is encouraged and all good attempts are praised and valued. Students are provided with a wide range of techniques covering formal problem solving skills, open ended investigatory situations and observatory skills are developed to extend their thinking process. Throughout the primary years, the student is supported in reaching his full potential in all areas of the curriculum. The student is encouraged to acquire attitudes and skills which will support his education in the future years. Subjects at the Primary School Level:

Middle school

Integration of science and technology, bringing mathematics closer to life, thematic approach to teaching of social sciences are some of the features at this stage. Emphasis is laid on developing all skills in languages i.e. Listening, speaking, reading, writing and thinking in a balanced manner. In science and technology the focus is on developing the key concepts which cut across all the disciplines of science and on encouraging learners to improvise simple equipment and design experiments. In social sciences emphasis is laid on the processes of learning and developing academic and social skills rather than mere acquisition of facts. We offer options for our Year 7 and 8 pupils in preparation for their IGCSE choices, further education and employment. Subjects at the Middle School Level:
